Company History and Background

Founded: 1862

Established in 1862, Changan Automobile Group is one of the China's eldest bus manufacturers. We originally manufactured military transportation equipment only, and now we manufacture both military and general vehicles. After more than 100 years' development, our group now own 7 vehicle factories, including Baoding Changan Bus Manufacturing Co., Ltd., except military vehicle factory. With more than 20,000 staff and USD1,380,000,000 asset, our group's annual producing capacity is 600,000 vehicles and 360,000 thousand engines. Our brand, "Changan", worth USD 1,337,000,000, is one of the most valuable automobile brands in China, which is also the only one brand entering the top 20 international famous brand in Chinese auto industry. In 2004, we manufactured and sold 6,000 buses. Today, our group has become the 3rd biggest automobile group.
